Equality & Justice
Today the friday Khuthba at the Masjid was so good. These are the words of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) during his last speech for the mankind.
O people! Verily your Lord is one and your father is one. All of you belong to one ancestry of Adam and Adam was created out of clay. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; or for white over the black or for the black over the white except in piety. ‘Verily the noblest among you is he who is the most pious’.
Read the full translation of the khutub-al-wida which conveys the message of Islam on human right and is a must read.
I looked around me, to find that it was indeed true, because I could find all of us from different places of different color and different nationality and different social status sitting there listening to the Khateeb and bowing to the one and only supreme Lord standing shoulder to shoulder. Something struck me at my heart.....

When Malcolm X first joined the NOI and was told that the dark folks were angels and that they'd be the only ones to enter paradise according to Islam, he believed it. It was after he went for a Hajj and saw different people of different ranks and races praying next to each other wearing the same clothes that he saw this facet of Islam. The equality. :)
