Dubai and the dreams

While I am Sitting here in the west, there is a land that throws a lot of questions to me. It is a tiny piece of land that we call it 'Gulf' back home. When we were growing up, the family used to tell us that when you grow up, you could go there. Earn money and become rich. Although we never became "rich", we were kept out of hunger from the money that came out from that land. We always knew, that money would come from the adult male of the family who somehow was given these handsful of money by the generous "sheikhs",  which converted to rupees would keep us going. I know that it stripped our fathers from our childhood, because they were busy and could spend with us probably a month every year if they are lucky. In those days a letter once every month would be what could keep the family relation going. I can imagine what the feeling of the mom and dad would be who lives together now after the prime of their life has passed. Many of them are already exhausted of their strengths due to the pressure that they had to endure. Savings long gone after building a house or marrying of their daughters. People can return from the "Gulf" only when their son's take their position to keep the family going. Unfortunately this story continues to this day, as I continue to understand my dad through the telephone calls that could last hardly more than 5 minutes.
